Somerset Creative Carers Connect - Facebook group

Are you a carer? do you create beautiful things?

What we do and why?

Somerset Creative Carers Connect is a Facebook Group

We provide an opportunity for unpaid carers in Somerset to share their creativity and connect with like minded folk.

We believe that creativity is a wonderful way to communicate thoughts and feelings, share ideas, connect with others and have some fun.

We are currently in the process of developing the Somerset Creative Carers Connect and will also be setting up sub groups for localities across the county.

Opportunity 1

Join Somerset Creative Carers Connect Group on Facebook - Showcase your work and connect with like minded folk.

Opportunity 2

Talk to us about running a Somerset Creative Carers Connect sub group in your locality i.e. Somerset Creative Carers Connect - Wells. Your group will be independent but essentially you will share the same overall ethos.

Creative Carers Stories

Read Gills story and view her pictures below.

"I have a beautiful 28 year old daughter who has Asperger syndrome. I am her appointee and care for her welfare. I own & run a creative centre in Burnham-on-Sea which I absolutely love! We do every kind of art & craft plus parties, pop up restaurants & bespoke catering. Many of the people who attend my workshops are also carers.

Caring for another can at times be quite isolating. I have found that creating things and helping others to create things has enabled me to connect with people and make many new friends. Friendship is important to me and it helps me to stay happy and well".
