In this section you can find information about different types of accommodation.
Sometimes people decide to move to a care home when they are in a crisis and cannot work out how to get the help they need to stay at home. Often people can keep living at home with the right support.
Before considering moving into a care home, the Council recommends you talk with them first. This will help make sure that all other options that could help you to remain living independently at home, or in other suitable accommodation, have been exhausted.
If this is no longer possible, moving to a good quality care home may be the best option.
